Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays a crucial role in shaping students' character and morals in accordance with Islamic values. To achieve this goal, a learning approach is needed that is not only pedagogically effective but also theologically and psychologically relevant. The PAI learning process needs to be supported by various innovations to improve the quality of learning. This journal article highlights the importance of learning models that support learning outcomes. This learning applies new, creative approaches and prioritizes critical reasoning, active involvement, and full student participation in the learning process. This learning model aims to develop students' ability to think independently, creatively, and innovatively, enabling them to generate fresh ideas, solve various problems, and apply their knowledge in everyday life.

This research falls into the category of library research using a qualitative approach and descriptive methods. The data collection technique used was a literature study, while the data analysis was conducted using content analysis. The results indicate that the existence of learning models containing learning elements is highly relevant. Furthermore, a comprehensive evaluation system is needed to comprehensively assess learning success. The implementation of learning models must undergo continuous testing and evaluation to ensure continuous refinement based on existing needs. Therefore, the development of innovative and contextual Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is a key factor in creating relevant, meaningful, and transformative education for the future.
